As for the synchronous learning, I think that synchronous learning reflects the same climate that exists in the classroom. The extroverted personalities dominate while the wallflowers stick silently to the wallpaper.   &lt;br /&gt;  &lt;/li&gt; &lt;/ul&gt; &lt;ul&gt;   &lt;li&gt;   Edutopia -- This community for good or bad seems to be a venue for Hollywood to place its agenda into the classroom.&lt;br /&gt;  &lt;/li&gt;   &lt;li&gt;   Learning Times -- This might be the best as it has a free membership, along with a wide range of webcasts, podcasts, and interesting what-nots.&lt;/li&gt;   &lt;li&gt;Merlot -- This site seems seriously focused on education as well. I liked the math materials ther offered.&lt;/li&gt;   &lt;li&gt;Digital Divide Network -- contained a large number of blogs and seemed predominantly intended for "industrial" education.&lt;/li&gt;   &lt;li&gt;LERN --was too expensive&lt;/li&gt;   &lt;li&gt;Sloan-C -- seems like a  non-Hollywood version of Edutopia.&lt;/li&gt;   &lt;li&gt;Teacher Tube-- is just too cool.
